Position: E-Commerce Manager (Night Shift)

Who You Are

This position will be located in Hyderabad, India, but you will be working closely with the team in the United States through video chat, instant messaging, e-mail, phone, and through our software. It is important that you have excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. We are a fast-paced company that is expanding rapidly and we are seeking team members who will share our vision for the future and work collaboratively in order to accomplish GeekTek’s goals. We pride ourselves on providing superior service to our clients, which includes having attention to detail, following the processes in place, and being able to adapt to a variety of situations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Good working knowledge and experience of e-commerce activities and all online marketing channels
  • Experience in content management systems
  • Experience in web analytics and other tools
  • Ability to develop a strategic e-commerce plan for the site
  • A strong track-record of managing and developing a team
  • Ensure the site is maintained and updated so as to maximize customer engagement on the site
  • Manage content to support the Online Marketing
  • Manage stock levels of our E-commerce platform
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Manage order fulfillment
  • Manage and maximize opportunities to increase targeted traffic to the website through a variety of marketing channels viz. PPC, SEO, email, display, etc
  • Sound knowledge and expertise regarding online transactions; from customer acquisition techniques to website usability to secure payment processes
  • Develop the web as a marketing tool
  • Effective communication of available functionality to the business with regards to current e-commerce infrastructure
  • Continual refine and optimize the customer experience - through to purchases and to improve conversion rates
  • Ensure fraudulent transactions are regularly reviewed and appropriate settings are made to fraud prevent techniques
  • Prepare a development plan for the site which has expected costs and attributable benefits
  • Experience in managing e-commerce platforms at manager level with technical skills in e-commerce strategic planning, business, financial principles, and e-commerce market development
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and traffic to corporate/brand websites
  • Financial accounting procedures (profitability, ROI)

Requirements:

  • Proven record in developing successful e-commerce programs and sales
  • People management experience required – minimum 8-10 years
  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
  • Understanding and analyzing online metrics ie. Conversion
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, communication, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc,.)
  • High attention to accuracy and details
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
